In October 2019, DADI Security contracted the Sky Net surveillance project in Huangdao District. Civil works, pole erection, device installation and commissioning have started in sequence across 55 camera points.
The hard part is not any single point — it is coordinating 55 of them
The difficulty of the Sky Net project lies not in the equipment at any one point, but in the dispersion and the schedule: 55 points spread across urban roads, intersections and key areas, where civil works, poles, power, transmission and commissioning are tightly interlocked. A delay at any link affects the overall go-live.
The project advances in batches: foundations and poles first, then front-end devices and commissioning point by point, and finally a unified integration test.
Scope of works
- Civil works and pole erection at 55 Sky Net points
- Camera installation, power supply and network access
- Device commissioning and platform go-live
Field work involves road occupation and work at height, so safety and disturbance control are built into the schedule: pole and cabling works avoid morning and evening peaks, and work areas are restored the same day.
On plan, the whole project will be completed and submitted for acceptance in early 2020.
